Uploading Files
Drag & Drop Upload
- Open FileX from the dashboard
- Navigate to the target folder
- Drag files from your computer and drop them into the FileX window
- Upload progress is shown in the bottom status bar
File Browser Upload
- Click the Upload button (↑ icon)
- Select files or an entire folder
- Click Open to begin upload

Organizing Files
Folders
- Create a folder: Click New Folder → Enter name → Press Enter
- Move files: Drag files into folders, or right-click → Move To
- Rename: Right-click → Rename
- Delete: Right-click → Delete (goes to Trash for 30 days before permanent deletion)
Labels & Tags
Color-code files for quick identification:- Right-click a file or folder
- Click Add Label
- Choose a color (Red, Orange, Yellow, Green, Blue, Purple)
Search
Use the Search bar at the top:name: proposal— search by file nametype: pdf— filter by file typemodified: last-week— filter by modification dateshared: true— find shared files
Sharing Files
Share with Team Members
- Right-click a file or folder
- Click Share
- Type the name or email of a team member
- Set permission level:
- Can View — read-only access
- Can Comment — view + leave comments
- Can Edit — full edit access
- Click Share
Share with External Users
- Right-click a file
- Click Share → Create Link
- Configure link settings:
- Access: Anyone with link / Password-protected
- Permissions: View only / Download allowed
- Expiry: Set a date after which the link expires
- Copy and share the link
Version History
FileX automatically saves versions every time a file is modified.Restoring a Previous Version
- Right-click the file → Version History
- Browse the version timeline
- Preview any version by clicking on it
- Click Restore to revert to that version
Version history is retained for 30 days on Early Access plans and 1 year on Professional/Enterprise plans.

Summarize Documents with FusionX
- Click on a
.pdf,.docx, or.txtfile to open it - Click the FusionX icon in the top-right corner
- Ask anything:
- “Summarize this contract in 3 bullet points”
